This year I'm working towards loosening up and making my brushwork count. Here is an example of my free flowing sky with clouds that I love to do with my filbert (rounded edged) brush so I can sculpt my clouds into puffiness. Then I use a bright (flat edged) brush to get my geometric strokes in the land. I really do love how simple this landscape is and how lovely the colors turned out. I'll be hanging it next month in the Crystal City Gallery or Cassatt's unless it sells first on Etsy!
