I was lucky enough to travel to France this past summer and on the back roads between Provencial villages there were fields of sunflowers. I had to stop and take some photos. This painting is the result of one of those photographs. One of my friends bought it for his wife's birthday. They were actually on the trip with us! A wonderful memento to remember our wonderful weeks in France. It's always nice when people you know like your art. Here's to the holiday season!
