Finally, I sold a painting at the Gallery Underground (formerly the Northern Virginia Art Center).  We had an open house last night to showcase the new studio spaces as well as the new name for the gallery and I sold this lovely Tuscan painting.  I'm so happy.  We opened the Gallery Underground at the end of July 2012 so it's taken me about 8 months to sell my first painting there.  I'm really hoping that this is the beginning of many more sales to come.  It really is a great space if you haven't seen it yet.  We have 40 artists there that include painters, potters, sculptures, jewelers, and glass artists.  Every month we change the show so I have new paintings there at the beginning of the month.  We also have special juried shows.  Next month we are doing a juried show of animal paintings as a fundraiser for the Animal Welfare League.  I will have lots of fun animal paintings.  Put Friday, April 12th on your calendar as that will be our reception from 5-8pm.
