This painting has a new home in Pennsylvania.  I originally painted this for my solo show at Piola Restaurant in Arlington.  I'm glad it's been sold.  I love the colors in this painting.  As you know purple & pink are some of my favorites.  I was inspired to paint this vineyard after my last trip to Italy.

I just had to paint my new baby.  He really is The Great Gatsby.  He's so cute and sweet.  I wanted to paint him whimsically.  He's really black and white but that wouldn't be so fun to paint now would it.  I used the bright green to enhance the painting.  I plan on doing some more animals soon.  But I'm also going to paint some Christmas/Holiday paintings.  Let me know what you think!

I had my open studio last weekend and one of my friends commissioned me to paint this painting for her sister.  Her sister owns an organic farm in Maine and "Calvin & Hobbes" were her & her husband's pets.  This is her husband leading them back to the barn for the night.  Unfortunately, they have both passed away so she wanted a painting for her sister to remember them by.  I hope they love it!  Shipping it out wednesday.

Thanks to all of you who stopped by my open studio on Saturday.  In between breaks of chatting with visitors I was able to finish my Peonies commission and this lovely horse painting.  While I didn't sell any paintings this year I did pick up a commission from a friend.  I started it today.  I'll be posting the finished product soon.  Remember the holidays are coming up so start thinking of those original gifts that you might want to purchase.  Art, notecards, etc. are all original gifts!  Visit my Etsy store and see if anything interests you.
