Okay, maybe you're getting tired of my beach/summer theme but I'm just wishing beach time were here!  The exciting news is I have a solo show coming up in June and I need to paint lots of large paintings!  The title of the show will be "Summer Escapes" so all of the paintings are going to be of places you would like to go on vacation.  The show will be at Piola Restaurant in Arlington, Va.  The opening will be tuesday, June 12 6-8pm!  Stay tuned for more fun paintings.

Plein Air painting can be really fun and sometimes not.  I painted this outside on a very cold spring day at the marina in Alexandria.  It was a cold, windy day and my hands were freezing but I was determined to get a painting done!  One time I was taking a plein air class and it was during the 17 year locust season so I had to share my easel & palette with them.  I touched this one up in the studio to make it brighter.

Can you see my central theme lately?  Yep.  I want to be at the beach!  I'm heading there this weekend to attend an Art Marketing workshop.  I'm hoping to learn some new information that will help me sell, sell, sell!  I'm doing pretty well on Etsy.  I've sold 9 paintings in the last 5 weeks!  Thanks to all of my fans.  Drop me a comment if there is a subject that you would like me to paint.  I'm always looking for inspiration.
