ABOUT THIS PAINTING: My husband and I took our first trip to Greece Sept of 2010 to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. From the first evening in Athens to the last in Santorini we were smitten. Greece is magical. The people, food, and the islands were spectacular. I couldn't believe all of the color. It is the perfect place to paint.

ABOUT THIS PAINTING:
The only thing more fun than painting or reading a fabulous new book is traveling. European cities are amongst my favorite. Painting evening or night paintings are fun because you can accentuate all of the deep colors reflecting everywhere. Big Ben with the city lights in the river is quite beautiful. You have to visit london and see it.

ABOUT THIS PAINTING:
Nature always inspires me to paint something beautiful. After a storm I took this photograph and painted this lovely landscape. The purple sky is what drew me to this in the first place. I loved how the green of the trees complement the lavender of the sky. Skies are so fun because they are constantly changing like life.

ABOUT THIS PAINTING:
The Western United States is one of my favorite places to visit and I usually take my family there every summer. There is something about the wide open spaces and the abundant wild life that put me at ease and create a tranquility within me that I don't seem to be able to replicate in the fast paced city life that I lead. Painting the west takes me back to that tranquility so I paint it often. This painting I decided to paint very impressionistic and with different vibrant colors. You can find so many different hues in the landscapes there. Enjoy!

ABOUT THIS PAINTING:
Today was a beautiful day here in Washington, D.C. I think spring is almost here. The weather reminded me of San Francisco. San Francisco is one of the most fascinating and exciting cities. So much art is created there. Every time I visit I come away with more inspiration. I was inspired to create the skyline in an abstract way using a paste compound mixed with acrylic paint underneath to create the thick texture. I then painted the oils on top to get the vibrant colors.

The Buffalo
Title: The Buffalo
Size: 16 x 20
Medium: oil on canvas
Purchase on Ebay! SOLD!
ABOUT THIS PAINTING:
The mood of this painting is open and free. This is dictated by the roaming wild buffalo. Painted at sunset when colors become vibrant in the sky. I loved the complementary colors of purple and yellow in the sky which in turn complement the colors of the plains grasses. The buffalo represent the wild west. This painting would make a great complement to any home or vacation home. You can purchase it on my ebay auction.
Abstract Eiffel Tower Paris France
Title: Paris Eiffel Tower
Size: 9 x 12
Medium: oil on canvas
Purchase on Ebay!
ABOUT THIS PAINTING:
This is my first posting on my blog. I have not blogged before but decided that I should start one regarding my paintings. I started my ebay store about a year ago and enjoy sharing my work across the world. I began selling my artwork through the mid-atlantic states but decided that by posting on ebay I have an unlimited audience. I experiment constantly with different subject matters as well as painting techniques. In this painting I decided to use a palette knife to achieve a rich, thick impasto impression. The Eiffel Tower at night is particularly beautiful with the lights shining on the Seine River. France has always held a special place in my heart as I studied French for many years in school. I decided to paint the Eiffel Tower at night so I could capture the vibrant colors of the evening. You can view more information about this painting on my ebay auction.
